Happy Birthday SV Days

I'm so really happy, because this blog SV Days, is celebrating its Birthday Number One. Exactly a year ago, I was writing my first post, about the beginning of this blog.

The first paraphrase is the following:

This is a blog that I created to talk about my country El Salvador. This is an apolitic blog, because I don’t like to talk about my politic country situation, and I want to show the world the beauty of our country, and of our people

And I had the mention of Tim, in three times, one announcing the beginning of this blog, another time in Gloval Voices Online, and the third one, saying the Reactivation of this blog again, thanks Tim for these mentions.

I hope to keep posting in this blog, I repeat, with your flickrs uploads contributions, or an email, you can contribute as a great way to keep beautiful this blog.

Beautiful town located in San Salvador's department, and is considered with Izalco a town where are still living Indigenous people.

Hunnapuh's said that panchimalco is a place where the country is not taking advantage of it, where the tourists may arrive and take a lot of fun, relax and appreciate it's beauty, I'm agree with Hunnapuh's post.

"Mercado Central" (Central Market) of San Salvador...

This is a perspective about our central market, known as "Mercado Central" of San Salvador. Many people goes shopping there, specially the basic cest food, beans, eggs, rice, corn, fruit, vegetables, and clothes.

This is a very populated place of San Salvador's downtown, specially on the morning, to prepare the food to cook the lunch and the dinner.

The Volcano that decores our Capital City, San Salvador. The "Quezaltepeq" Volcano, its last eruption was on 1917, that made many destruction in San Salvador. Now, it has an inactive state of volcanic activity, and you can visit its hole, there are two accesses to get in, by Merliot city and Escalon residential.

In my opinion, I like to see the Volcan when I walk around the city.

What SV Bloggers Are Saying.....

There are many Salvadorian Blogs, but the most of these are talking about the Violence in El Salvador. The SV Blogger Tim in his Blog talks about the violence in El Salvador at now.

I don't feel good when I see that my country it's becoming more violent, and our Goverment doesn't matter about that, the people doesn't matter their economic problem, the people is worry about their security, to go out to walk on the streets without being damaged, thieved, or killed

The things that our goverment have to do to dicrease the Violence are the following:

To invest more in Education, this is the Root

To invest more in Human development, to create projects for the people's good.

To increase and incentivate the Policemen and reforce it.

To apply well our laws.

I doesn't matter the party of Goverment, although that I want is that they do the things well, and Think in the people's development more than economics.

Sorry if I deviated a little of my blog's content, but sometimes it's necessary to talk about this topics.

Grilled Tiger, Aguila the Champion of Salvadorian Soccer...

El Salvador put their attention to the Salvadorian Soccer Final of the Coca Cola's Cup of 2006.

Now the rivals, they had met since so much time, the Salvadorian Classic of Soccer, between Aguila from San Miguel and FAS from Santa Ana, a very very good match and rivality.

In this time, the San Miguel's people ate in dinner "Grilled Tiger" because they defeated FAS with a score of 4-2, and this was the day for the Migueleans, and not for the Santa Ana's People.

Anyway, this is the soccer, impredictable.

Our Capital, San Salvador City

San Salvador is the name of the capital city of El Salvador, and this is the biggest city in our country with about 600,000 people only in the city, and about 2,500,000 people in the Metropolitan San Salvador.

This city is decorated with the San Salvador's Volcano behind the city, and I believe that this is the unique city that have so close the Volcano, there are many houses and buildings in the volcano highs.

I will write more about San Salvador in the next posts.

El Salvador is characterized by its volcanic lands, and one of its beautiful places is the Coatepeque's Lake, located between Santa Ana and Sonsonate. You can appreciate it when you visit the Cerro Verde national park, it is a beautiful experience.

This is the biggest lake in El Salvador, and it is not a natural lake, is an artificial lake created with the flooding of the hydroelectric plant Cerron Grande. Part of the Lempa River, when you go to Suchitoto, you can visit this beautiful lake of Suchitlan.

This is one of our best typical food that we have, the Pupusas. There are many people that says the Pupusas are from Honduras. Everybody in El Salvador will kill you (joke) if you say that the pupusas are from Honduras or another Central American Country.

One place where you can eat this delicious food is in Olocuilta, La Paz, made with rice, without words...

The Cascade of Ataco

Another beautiful place in El Salvador is the Cascade of Ataco, located about 5km of the Ataco's town in Sonsonate, El Salvador. It is unbelievable that these places are found in El Salvador, but there are many of these, in all over our country, but we do not explore it.

To get to this cascade, you have to walk downstairs about 600m down in a mountain, and you find it, after you got tired, haha, and you enjoy the bath (cold water), and after that you have to walk upstairs (get more tired) the 600m again, that's an amazing experience.

When everybody were in the beach (almost the 85% of our people), these places are alone, and I get an advantage of that :D .

The Alberto Masferr's Town

We had a trip on Alberto Masferrer native town, Alegria, in the department of Usulutan, El Salvador. This is the fresh zone of the eastern of my country, a coffe zone, and friendy people.

In the image above you can see the Alberto Masferer's bust, in the central park of Alegria. He is the main icon of this town.

Juayua. A Really Beautiful Town

Another beauty of El Salvador, Juayua. This is one of the most visited towns of our country, because the people of this town is really amazing, they do things that attract the tourists, inside of our country and outside. One of the attractives of Juayua is its Gastronomic Fair, there's a great variety of delicious food here, and you get satisfied, it's garantized.

Here you can buy many souvenirs, typical clothes, get a ride in the towns train (it's a great experience), and the weather is amazing, it's the ideal to live, concluding, this place you have to visit it, even once time in your life (hehe, if you can't come, watch it in my blog ;) ).

Antique Weapons and Tools

In the ride that I had today, I visit many places, one of them was "My Grandfather's Ranch (restaurant)" (El Rancho de mi Abuelo), located in the town of Apaneca, Ahuachapan, El Salvador. In that place, there were many antique weapons and Tools that took my attention and I pictured them. In the images above and below I show them, and this is an idea of how our ancients made the things and which weapons they used to handle. It is amazing that these people of the restaurant keep the weapons and tools in a good state.

The grace of being there, it's the amazing of the restaurant, you'll never imagine how beautiful can be a place in a little town of our little country, you have to visit it (even looking at it in my blog, hehe).

Ilobasco, First Stop.

Today in my vacation's first day, my first stop was a beautiful city of my country called Ilobasco. The fame of ilobasco is its Ceramics' Souvenirs, there are many of this sales around the city, and the Mototaxis (sorry I didn't take a picture of them).

The 129,000 Mile of My Car

I was coming back home in some place of San Salvador, and I saw that my Mileage Meter of my car was on 129,000 miles (an exactly round number), so I decided to take it a picture and share with everybody (some people thinks that I had nothing to do, hehe), it's a matter of fact.

In this vacation week (in my case, I don't have a vacation :( ), many people of my country and tourists visits our beachs, and our towns to have a little of fun and take the stress off.

The Devil's Gate

This is a beutiful place of our country that historically is called "The Devil´s Gate" or "La Puerta del Diablo". The people said that they wanted to kill the devil, so he has no exit and had to breake the mountains front to him, and for this is the name.

Many people and tourists visit this place in vacation time, and it´s a good choice if you want to take a relax or pass the time and forgetting the work and the home obligations.

Our country is one of the smallest countries in the world, but, we are of the most worker people in the world too. The image above is the National Palace, located in San Salvador's Historical Downtown. Its architecture is very antique, and this Palace, was the renewal of the Antique National Palace, that was destructed by the 1917 earthquake.
