This is the biggest lake in El Salvador, and it is not a natural lake, is an artificial lake created with the flooding of the hydroelectric plant Cerron Grande. Part of the Lempa River, when you go to Suchitoto, you can visit this beautiful lake of Suchitlan.

I've been able to visit Suchitlan, what a beautiful place! the Ministerio de Turismo recently opened (may 2005) a spot to attract tourists and where you can eat and take tours in boats, I visited the turicentro and it's peaceful, quiet and you're surrounded by wildlife.
